National day of Crepe

Not too much is new... Im slowly getting used to the 3 hour classes (I will never complain about a power lecture again!!!) It hasn't been too hard though. I finalized my schedule:
-Monday 9-12 Creole Literature and Culture
-Monday 3-5 Written Expression
-Tuesday 2-5 The City and the Industrial Revolution (surprisingly interesting and very easy)
-Tuesday 5:30-7:30 France en Perspective (a class with other americans where we look at the entirety of french history very fast then see how it applies to their colture today)
-Wednesday 9-12 Language, Culture and Society (by far my favorite class so far)
-Thursday 9-10:30 Language and the Brain

The only class im worring about being really hard is Creole Lit and that one im taking pass/fail so it shouldn't be too bad. I wont bore you with too much talk about my classesbut I really am enjoying them all so much. Its difficult to listen to someone (especially in french) for 3 hours even with the normal 20 minute break in the middle but Im getting used to it.

Last weekend we took a program trip to Antibes and Vince. In Antibes we went to the Grimaldi castle there which has been turned into a Picasso museum because he lived there for a while and made quite a few paintings and scuptures. It was really cool to see all his art work but im not a huge art person... Then we walked around the village and looked at the Medeterranean. It was GORGEOUS!!!! It was such a beautiful day! Then we went to the chappel which was decorated by Matisse in Vince. While it was really pretty the sun happened to be behind clouds while we were there and the way the chapel is built for the sunlight is the whole draw of it. We also stopped in Vallauris because we had time on our way back.

Sorry guys but im going to have to continue this post another time-- the office is closing and my computer is still broken

A tout a l'heure!
